Korea’s Famous Bibimbap

One of the most commonly sought after dishes served at our Korean restaurant is bibimbap, a famous Korean dish that means “mixed rice” or “mixed meal.” The contents are fairly universal: a hot bowl of white rice served in a medley of beef and veggies with an egg on top. Dolsot is a type of bibimbap that is served in a stone hot pot to make the rice golden brown with an added crunch.

Since the culinary tradition of bibimbap stretches far back into history, there have been some variations in the ingredients and cooking methods. Seafood is sometimes used instead of beef, and vegetables can vary even more; typically, however, bibimbap includes spinach, carrots, zucchini, soybean sprouts, and mushrooms.

Try bibimbap at your next Seoul Hot Pot visit for a dinner we’re certain you’ll love.
