The Year of the Monkey

February 8th of this year is the Lunar New Year, according to the traditional Chinese calendar. As such, many Koreans throughout the world will be celebrating the arrival of the Year of the Monkey.

People born under the influence of the monkey are known to possess many of the qualities that monkeys are known to have in the wild. They are playful, mischievous, versatile, curious, and clever. Many are prone to playing practical jokes, though their intentions are generally good. Due to their inherent intellectual and adaptive nature, they can generally find success in any career path they choose, though particularly strong choices include jobs in science, engineering, sales, and the arts.

Easily bored, monkeys are slow to settle down in a relationship. However, when they find their special someone, they will commit to him or her forever.

If you’re looking for a way to make your own Year of the Monkey a bit more special, start it off right with some quality Korean fare at our Bellevue Korean restaurant.
